R/Mon - Remote Monitoring Services

R/Mon is Rational IT’s system for remotely monitoring client servers and network devices. After auditing client systems to determine configuration, Rational IT engineers install an R/Agent on those systems to be monitored.

The R/Agent is configured to monitor key system metrics. When a system parameter is exceeded, the R/Agent’s first response is to invoke a dynamic sequence of “wizards” to automatically resolve the issue. If successful, the incident and resolution are logged, and there is no disruption to activity. If unsuccessful, the R/Agent escalates the incident to dedicated members of that client’s R/Team, who will work remotely on resolution.

Upon incident escalation to the R/Team for remote intervention, the R/Agent’s task cycle is complete and it returns to system monitoring.
